Using Mentions in Contact Chat

Mortgage Manager Contact Chat Channel messaging features include the ability to use Mentions to easily specify recipients. Using Mentions you can target recipients based on their role or username.

For example, you might want to send a text message to both the Borrower and Co-Borrower using Contact Chat. Since the Borrower and Contact Owner are already included as Recipients, you only need to add the Co-Borrower in this example. To begin, open a contact screen and put the cursor in the text message box (Figure 1):

To use Mentions, type the @ sign inside the text message box followed by the letter ā€œCā€. This will bring up a list of potential Recipients that start with that letter. In this example, the letter ā€œCā€ corresponds to the Co-Borrower as seen in the list (Figure 2):

Click on the Co-Borrower in the list to make that the Recipient (Figure 3):

Type your text message and click Send Message (Figure 4):

Note that the letters after the @ sign are shown in capitals only for legibility. You can use either upper or lowercase letters.

By using Mentions, you can speed up the messaging process even more based on established contact roles and usernames within Mortgage Manager.
