Add a Follow Up Phone Call

Getting Started

Under the Main category of the vertical menu, click on Contact Finder (Figure 1):

To add a follow up phone call:
  1. To search for a contact, type in part of the First Name & Last Name in the Find Contacts window and click Find Now.
  2. Double-click on the preferred contact in the Results Grid to open that record (Figure 2):

  3. From the General tab in the Contact Detail screen, click on the Phone Call command button at the top of the Contact Activity Dashboard (Figure 3):

  4. Enter the description of your phone call into the Subject field. You can optionally select a Subject from the dropdown list by clicking the arrow on the right side of the field. You can also jump to a description by typing in the first letter (for example “F” for Follow Up Phone Call”).
  5. By default, Assigned To is set to the login user, and you can assign the task to somebody else by using the dropdown on the right side of the field. 
  6. Also by default, the Due Date is today, with the calendar dropdown available for changing the setting. Similarly, the Time field (which defaults to blank) can be changed using the dropdown.
  7. Reminder defaults to None and can be set to remind you a predetermined number of minutes before the Time setting.
  8. The Completed checkbox defaults to unchecked, which will result in the task showing up as a pending activity on the To Do List. You can check the box to mark it as completed.
  9. Type your desired Activity Text.
  10. Click the OK button to save your entry. This will collapse the edit area and return you to the Contact Activity Dashboard and then you can click the disk icon on top to save your data (Figure 4):
