Add or Find a Referral Contact

Mortgage Manager allows you to assign a Referral Contact to a new client directly from the Contact screen. You can also add a new Referral Partner on the fly from the same screen.

From the Contact screen in Client View, click on the + button (labeled “Add or Find Item”) to the right of the Referral Contact field (Figure 1):

Clicking on the + button opens a popup window that lets you choose between “Add New Item” or “Find Existing Item” (Figure 2):

To see how to assign an existing Referral Partner, select “Find Existing Item” which opens a Contact Finder screen in which you can type part of the First Name, Last Name, and Company Name. In this example, we are searching for Edward Stanton from Lawson Realty (Figure 3):

After you click on Find Now, you will see the results section showing the Referral Partner, and you can click on Select (Figure 4):

Clicking on Select returns you to the Contact screen and populates the Referral Contact field, which ties the Referral Contact to the client, allowing for lead source reporting, automated notification, and co-branded marketing (Figure 5):

Now let’s look at adding a new Referral Partner right from this same screen. Click on the + button and this time select “Add New Item” (Figure 6):

In the Add Referral Contact screen, fill in the key fields including First Name, Last Name, and Company, as well as any contact fields (Email, Phone, Address, etc.) that you have at the moment (Figure 7):

When you click OK, you return to the Contact screen with the newly-added Referral Contact assigned to the client (Figure 8):

With these procedures, you can quickly assign an existing Referral Contact and also add a new one and assign it on the fly.
